The Musings of
My Life and World.
I keep hearing people
saying that "You need a blog." So here it is!
"There are some who can live
without wild things, and some who cannot. These [words] are
the delights and dilemmas of one who cannot" -- Aldo
Leopold from A Sand County Almanac
From what I have heard and
read, a BLOG is anything to express yourself or your views. Many
blogs no one reads other than the Blogger. Kind of an online diary.
I hope to provide a unique prospective.

June 2008 - I had hoped this to be a daily or
at least every other day thing, but I am working harder than ever to
just keep up. When million dollar horse owners stop buying, things
are bad. The veterinary industry has always been pretty much
recession proof, but this time it is taking a toll.
My new assistant, Kathleen,
is working hard to get sales packets out to prospects and take care
of existing customers. Look for our ad in the August issue of
Dog Fancy magazine for Veterinary Immune Tabs.
At the same time, I appreciate all of your concerns about the
recent flooding here in southern Wisconsin. It is bad. Last weekend
we were basically land locked. You could only go South towards
Chicago. North, East and West roads were flooded. Right now you
can't go to Milwaukee because of flooding on I-94. Hoping it clears
up in a week as we have tickets to Stevie Wonder at Summerfest.
I measure the rainfall for
the NWS amd a week ago, the 2 inches per hour rainfall was too much
for the gutters and the slope of the house, so the basement flooded.
A dehumidifier, fan and an Oxyfresh Air
Ozone machine are working well to control the situation.
All in all, I will still
take the weather in Wisconsin over just about any place. So what if
we had 107 inches of snow last winter, I tell Charlie that
20 below standing at the bus stop builds character!
It is the middle of June and today the high temp was 75 with vivid
blue skies and cumulus humulus. We havc had two days over
80.

June 2008 - I really don't think that ever in my 53
years have I felt so strongly about a Presidential election.
In fact, I may set up a special politics page!
To put my politics on
the line, here is my past voting record:
Ford
Reagan (twice)
Bush the First
Perot
Dole
Gore
Kerry
You can draw your own
conclusions. I had an Epiphany! Back in
2000, I really did not know who I was going to vote for. I did some
online thing where you put in your beliefs and values and it
calculated who you should vote for. It came back 68% for Gore. I
have never been the same.
After the monumentally
disastrous presidency of the "W", I am committed to doing all that I
can to prevent "Bush's Third Term". Grampy McCain has voted
with the "W" 95% of the time in 2007 and 100% in 2008.
There was a time when I
said that I could vote for McCain; and there was a time when I
was opposed to Barack Obama because I thought he was lacking of
substance and too inexperienced.
The "W" was the Gov of
Texas. Big woop! What was his experience? His experience was cocaine
and Jack Daniels and running companies into bankruptcy, just as he
has bankrupted our country politically, financially and morally
through his immoral war in Iraq and so many other things.
- Iraq - the single
greatest foreign policy debacle in our nation's history
- Environment - Global
Warming, CAFE's, ANWAR, the list goes on!
- The Deficit - This nation
had a surplus in 2000. We are now TRILLIONS of dollars in debt. What
happened to Republicans being fiscally responsible?
- Gas Prices - W and Cheney
are making money somehow. The president and vice president are both
oil men. Dah?
- The fall of the Dollar
(is killing me!)
- Domestic Spying - This is
America, not Soviet Russia or Nazi Germany
- Health Care - Should be a
right of EVERY CITIZEN! We pay more and get less than any country in
the world.
- "No Child Left Behing" -
what a joke!
- Katrina - "Your doing a
great job Brownie."
THE LIST CAN GO ON AND ON
AND ON!.
I will do
everything in my power to see that Obama is elected in
'08!
Actually, I don't think
there is much of an issue. People have been coming out in record
numbers to register as Democrats and vote in the primaries. I see
LANDSLIDE in November as we make history and elect the first Black
as President of the United States.
